Magmento Stockist Terms & Guidelines

Thank you for choosing to stock Magmento.

We work with independent retailers who share our enthusiasm for beautifully made, distinctly New Zealand products and for giving customers something they can take home and remember a place by.

Our stockist relationships are important to us. These guidelines are designed to make working with Magmento straightforward, fair and enjoyable for everyone.

Wholesale Pricing

Wholesale price for standard 45mm Magmento magnets: $5.75 + GST per magnet.

Our recommended retail price is generally $12–$15, although retailers remain free to set their own retail pricing.

We encourage stockists to stay reasonably close to our recommended pricing so that customers experience consistency when shopping for Magmento products across New Zealand, particularly in tourist destinations where customers may visit more than one retailer.

Different products, ranges or custom work may have different wholesale and recommended retail pricing.

No Minimum Order

There is no minimum order quantity for Magmento stockists.

We understand that retailers have different customer bases and different levels of demand, so you can order according to what makes sense for your store.

Shipping is free on orders of $150 + GST or 30 or more standard magnets. For smaller orders, shipping may be charged.

Stockist Relationships & Territory

Magmento values the relationships we build with our retailers, and we take existing stockist relationships into consideration when deciding where to place new accounts.

However, Magmento does not operate an automatic one-stockist-per-town or blanket territorial exclusivity policy.

Every location and retail environment is different. We consider factors such as the type of store, its customer base, the products it carries, existing stockists in the area and the overall density of Magmento retailers when considering a new stockist.

In some circumstances, we may choose to limit the number of Magmento stockists within a particular town or area, or agree to an exclusive arrangement with a retailer.

Where an exclusivity arrangement has been agreed, Magmento will honour that commitment.

Our goal is to build a healthy network of retailers rather than simply place as many accounts as possible.

Existing Stockists

If you have concerns about another retailer stocking Magmento in your area, please contact us directly.

Stockists are not expected to monitor, manage or police other Magmento retailers.

Similarly, no Magmento stockist has the authority to dictate another retailer’s product range, pricing, ordering or supply.

All stockist relationships are directly between Magmento and the individual retailer.

This allows us to consider each situation fairly and maintain good relationships with all of our retail partners.

Retail Pricing

Magmento’s recommended retail pricing is provided as a guide rather than a requirement.

Retailers are responsible for setting their own prices. We simply ask that pricing remains reasonably aligned with the recommended retail price wherever possible.

This helps protect the perceived value of the brand and creates a consistent experience for customers shopping for Magmento products in different locations.

Ordering & Fulfilment

We aim to make ordering and fulfilment as quick and straightforward as possible.

Orders are normally processed promptly and dispatched as soon as practical.

If we expect a delay of more than one week, we will communicate this with you rather than leave you wondering where your order is.

Some products may occasionally be temporarily unavailable due to production or shipping schedules. Where possible, we will provide an expected availability date.

Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed, Magmento invoices are due on the 20th of the month following the invoice date.

If an account remains unpaid for 10 days after the due date, and we have not been contacted regarding the outstanding balance, a 10% administration fee may become payable.

If there is an issue affecting payment, please communicate with us. We would always prefer to have a conversation rather than let a small problem become a bigger one.

Range Selection

Magmento has a growing range of location-based designs, as well as custom work and larger products such as our Mini-Scenics.

We do not require every stockist to carry a particular range.

We are happy to work with retailers to select designs that suit their location, customers and available space.

Where a retailer has a particularly strong connection to a destination or customer group, we may also discuss custom or location-specific designs.

Our Approach to Stockists

We want Magmento to be a supplier that retailers enjoy working with.

• We communicate openly when circumstances affect an order.
• We consider existing stockist relationships when developing our retail network.
• We don’t expect one retailer to manage another retailer’s business.
• We aim to give every stockist a fair and direct relationship with Magmento.
• We listen to feedback from our retailers and use it to improve the brand and the way we work.

As Magmento grows, our stockist network will continue to evolve. We reserve the right to make decisions about where and how Magmento products are supplied, while taking our existing commitments and relationships seriously.
